📍Building #3: Long-Term Thinking, Not Long-Term Planning
taking action & asking for feedback is your plan.
hey friends from anywhere (っ'-')╮
These days, things move really really fast — it’s only getting faster.
In the tech industry, there’s always a new tool, model, or shiny feature shouting, “I’m the future!” (It’s kind of like tech speed-dating, but with more FOMO and fewer free snacks)
(っ'-')╮=͟͟͞͞ Plans shaped by changes

A tattoo I got in 2023
In a world where the goalposts are always moving, and today’s breakthrough is tomorrow’s forgotten tab, the real skill isn’t predicting what’s next —
It’s learning how to dance with change.
So… what do we actually do?
Stay curious, not frantic
Don’t chase every new thing — just the ones that genuinely excite you or align with your vision.Build flexible systems
Think Lego, not concrete. Give yourself room to remix, rework, and reimagine.Invest in timeless skills
Some skills just outlast the noise. These are the real ones — they don’t expire.
A great list in this NN/g article (The Return of the UX Generalist) and totally agree:→ critical thinking
→ facilitation
→ strategic decision-making
→ intuition and taste across domains
→ navigating ambiguity + change
→ combining insights from different sources
→ reframing problems to find better solutionsAnd most importantly: Tune into your own rhythm.
You don’t have to run every race!
Think about the habits you keep, the things you love, the people around you.
What’s compounding over time? That is your real plan.
At the end of the day, it’s not about keeping up —
It’s about staying grounded while everything else spins.
( •ㅿ•̀ ) What should designers focus on right now?
This reply from Dylan Field (co-founder of Figma) sums it up perfectly!
It’s long-term thinking without overthinking — just keep creating, stay self-aware, and surround yourself with good people.

This reminds me of a quote I’ve carried with me for years — one that’s shaped how I move through all the uncertainty:
You can't connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future.
Follow your curiosity. Take the weird turn. Make the thing.
You never know how it all comes together until later.
⋆⑅˚₊♡ Things that kept me inspired lately
Been working on my first software product, and these have seriously been keeping me inspired — and helping me level up my product taste.
🍎 Apple Design Awards — inspiring every time!
💎 Spotted in Prod — app design inspo that has me like ദി՞˶ෆ . ෆ˶ ՞ (you can also share your product to them!)
🖤 60fps.design — for super clean interaction + motion ideas!

After leaving this building…
thank you for stopping by — hope this brought you a moment of calm, a bit of clarity, and a deep breath to help you move through this beautifully chaotic world.
and to close it out — here’s a soft, dreamy, timeless track i’ve been looping on late nights. honestly, the whole EP is worth a listen before you dive into your next thing ꕤ︎︎
see you in the next building 📍
